I have a 2.25 Barzo that I'd like to use as it has plenty of life left, but on a 30mm rim.

I think the tyre is actually listed as 55-622 which is 2.1", but labelled as 2.25 - is it going to work or will it be too much of stretch?

It will be fine. I have 2.25 trail boss on 30mm ID rims they are no better or worse than when they were on 19mm id rims before.

It will be fine. Profile will be a little squarer than on a 25mm rim but it’ll work just fine.

I ran this set up. It is possible, but the tyre is a nightmare to get on or off the rim. This issue was compounded by the fact that I punctured more often.

@merk - do you mean you used a Barzo specifically?

Hmm, might still give it a go and see if it mounts/pops up OK and take it from there

Yes, it was a 2.25 Barzo on 30mm DT Swiss M1900.

I originally had the Barzo on a 25mm rim that came with the bike. I wanted a wider profile though.
