My old fairhfull 3x10 2004 XT cranks may be on the way out. Finding myself having to nip up the non-drive side bolts on a more regular basis. This may stem from me not tightening them enough when I built this frame up, balls. That or the immigrants!

Weight is not a big concern, nor is colour. Just need something relatively cheap as this failure has come at the wrong time.

Have you guys seen any good options of late?

Deore or SLX, mount ring in the middle chainring position. Cheap and cheerful as you like.

Can't argue with that, SLX for £70 and I can sell the rings on, win.

Sorry for the hijack, but I guess it's better to buy a triple chain set than a double for chainline reasons? Same price typically so like the OP, just after something easy to put on and get running asap

Got some sram x9's that I finally got round to taking the spider off and direct mounting the chain ring. Perfect set up.

I put Deore on my HT, flogged the chainrings so got cranks and the BB for about £25.
