You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
Off to Morzine (Les Marmottes) on Friday for 2 weeks, camper van with motorbike, road bike and mountain bike, I'll be with my wife and meeting 2 friends over there, I'll be doing most of the Mtb on my own, with the odd outing on what will need to be some very tame routes with the wife. Will also be doing some hiking with the wife, touring on the motorbike and a couple of days out on the road bike (Col du Joux plane etc), any hints tips places to go, are the mtb trails pretty obvious or is my hopeless sense of direction going to be an issue?
Main runs are well signposted. Can't get lost following them. Lots of off piste too
You will have a blast, it's a great place. All the Official Trails (i.e. the one shown on the trail maps available everywhere in the district) are very well signposted and you will have to work hard to get lost.
Have fun.
As above marked trails are well marked ! There is plenty of off piste (mostly on walking paths). Here are a couple of recenti-sh threads

I always recommend the little restaurant at Mont Caly for a lunch, great views and accessible via car, road or mountain bike.
The Chapelle Jacquincourt you can do with the wife, one bit crossing river she can walk otherwise a fun easy "off piste" ride in Les Gets. Sign the visitors book and enjoy the spot.
If you download ViewRanger app you'll be less likely to get lost 🙂
Brilliant thanks all.
Second Mt Caly for lunch, was up there today and had an exceptional Tartiflete , lovely lunch with vino, genepi and the best coffee ice cream I have ever had !
Have a look at the Trailforks app/website for a good overview of the main
trails in the area
