Night rides are ace, gives familiar trails a new dimension. Wednesday nights are my usual playtime.

Always used to enjoy a night ride bitd. Now ironically I have the best lights (exposure) I’ve ever had, but never ride off-road at night any more.
I did an old loop up at my parents a few weeks back, nothing tech at all, but it was fun!

I think it was about fifteen years ago we stopped referring to them as night rides and they just became 'rides'. Probably coinciding with the time everyone had bought an exposure Maxx D.

I only really become cognisant of the riding in the dark aspect when someone at work says 'your'e going for a bike ride NOW?'

They're just the best, the bone dry trails completely covered in leaves at the moment are absolutely wonderful.

Another every Wednesday night here - local trails are currently running better than they have all summer!

Duncan, I’m at Ae every Tuesday night, you’re welcome to come along, but I realise its a bit far for you. The ‘oldies’ are looking at going to Kirroughtree on Sunday 24th Nov. (morning/day) as Ae is shut for a car rally, again, you're welcome, nothing too fast or steep!

Out last night. I aim for 2 mid week night rides per week. I love it - no walkers / no cars / no hassles.

Although last night it rained for us in the ~2hrs before our ride and it was slippery as hell with wet leaves on greasy roots. Epic fun though especially after a day in the home office

I haven't had a proper night ride in a few years. It used to be easy when I was right on the edge of the Peak. Now I'm in the urban wastelands it means driving or dicing with death on the roads then tarmac all the way home.

I'll get out after work this month at some point. I can get to Norfolk Arms/Lady Cannings area pretty easily from the office.

It’s at least two a week for me, admittedly over the same route but I love it.

I love night riding, either group rides or solo.

Puddletown earlier in the year.

Solo Purbecks.

Banging ride at Rivi last night, no pics but the rut tracks were running so well.

Just picked up night riding after a loooong break a few weeks ago, took me a while to get the hang of it again, especially the fog we had the other week.

Cheers @duncancallum for starting this thread, it got me to go out for a blast through the autumn leaves this evening and it was great!

Just back from one on the G1, 4.5 miles to the start, 20 mile group ride and a very cold 4 miles home from the pub.

I'm the local legend on Llandegla Red after my ride last night!

Rancid mizzly cloud/drizzle with shit Viz, but still great fun. On the downside I failed the Cave Climb every time. Only the second occasion I haven't managed it at all. But great to get out

Night rides make up the vast majority of my riding and it doesn't matter what the weather is doing, otherwise I'd be considered as weekend worrier (a pretty crap one at that). Without it I'd blowing out of my backside on weekend rides.
