3yo son is about to move up to an 18 inch bike. (Hand me down from his Sister.) It's got seriously knobbly tyres.
I'd like to get some smoother running tyres to make his life easier. In addition to tarmac we do a fair bit of 'smoothish' off road - New Forest tracks; occasionally muddy canal path but I still think he'd benefit from a more hybrid tyre. (All the rides we do with him I use these https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B07G44XQXC/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1)
Cheaper the better.
What 18 inch tyres should I get?
In case anyone else has this question I'm going for Kenda K841 Kontacts.
Smooth rolling with reasonable grip.
Kenda tyres are good ime pf bmx
I don't think you'll have enough clearance tbh. Most MTBs are 2.4 or 2.6 inch max, 18 inch will be far too big.
