Hey all!

Just got into enduro with a HT (should be on a FS buuuuut, money) and was thinking about upgrading the fork that comes with the entry level Vantage for something more rad with 160mm travel.

I've seen some people put 150mm in them (even the RR comes with a Fox 140mm), but not sure if 160mm would be too much for it to handle. The geometry seems capable of but... Would like to hear some opinions, maybe those 10mm of difference between forks aren't that noticeable for a rookie like me!

Also, in any case, let it be 150mm or 160mm, which one would you recommend buying used for less than 300€ (less would be even better)?

Specs are in here https://www.evanscycles.com/en-es/mondraker-vantage-2016-mountain-bike-EV261597

AND, last but not least, which tyres to upgrade from those 2.2? Tubeless and 2.4?

Thanks all!

I wouldnt be too bothered sticking 160mm forks on that bike...slacken the HA/SA by about 1.5deg, raise the BB too. However, maybe go for a secondhand set of Pikes, Yari, or Lyriks and, if it doesnt work for you at 150 or 160, then, worse case, you can get a new air shaft to change the travel....see what comes up second hand in your price range at either 150 or 160, go for the best forks rather than getting hung up on 150 or 160

Thanks a lot for replying!

With HA/SA you mean headset and stem? And with BB the bottom bracket? I still get lost with acronyms hahaha.

Any preference among the three you mentioned?

I put 160mm Yari forks on my Vantage 2016 model (green) and it rode brilliantly. I stupidly sold and have regretted it ever since
