I have a rear wheel with a 142x12 axle, the cassette was slightly loose, on removal, I could see the threaded spacer section which the freehub body sits on had come loose, I tightened it up, but its come loose again, can/should I threadloc this on to prevent it working loose again?
If the issue is not clear, sorry, I'll post some pics tonight when I disassemble it again!
no you shouldnt threadlock the cassette lockring. they're a pain in the arse to remove when done up properly so would be even more difficult to remove with threadlock applied.
it could be that the thread on the lockring is worn so try a new lockring first...if that doesnt work then it could be the thread on the freehub body thats worn out
