Im wandering how to convert my hub from 142 to 148. Ive looked on previous threads which are about a year old now and im still wandering what th ebest way to do this is? It seems like all the apadters i can find are based in the USA, is there anything available in the UK to help me convert from 142 to 148?

I don't know where the NOW8 ones come from, but they are all expensive for small pieces of metal, that is true.

Wolftooth boostinator, rear wheel will need to be moved over a few mill to the drive side local shop trip unless you can do that yourself.
MRP now do boost adaptors for the front for about £45 to

The problem with ones like the XC racer type is that you got a 3mm spacer each side of the hub which in turn means the cassette moves 3mm inboard, so not ideal.

The other types like the Boostinator add 6mm to the non drive side so the cassette stays in the same position but you do have to dish the wheel towards the non drive side by 3mm. Don’t be put off by the dishing it’s a doddle, I have just completed two wheels having never attempted anything like it before. They do cost a bit more but I think the end result outweighs the cost difference.

I'm using Hope adapters front and rear. Works fine although the cassette is in the regular 135/142 position so the boost chainline isn't perfect. I've got regular rings with more offset I can use to sort that but I'll probably just buy new wheels now I've proved a point to myself.

Is any re-dishing required with the Hope adaptors?

Didn't redish my wheel, looks fairly central!

This is good news, should get a longer lifespan out of my plus wheels then.

Might have to swap between a boost and non-boost frame in future.
