Lots of people running 140 on Yelli Screamys but the only purpose built 140mm hardtail I know of is the 2 Souls QH

There is less need for travel on a 29er, but some folk will need long travel.
Look at the Canfield brothers first.

Or wait, next year there will be more 29er variations beyond xc.

i ran a 140mm white bros fork on a chumba hx2 for a few months.
it was pretty good at descending, but on the flat or uphill it was shocking.
i reckon 140mm is too much for a 29r frame.

I think that depends on the frame ton, I can't wait to get my 140mm 29er built up

Haha I'm jumping the gun a bit, I'm talking about my blackcat which should be here in
5 months. Going to have it designed around 140mm travel, super short stays and built like a tank. You were right about those pressures on the Nate,

got to be honest, i would love a longer travel full sus 29r like the wfo or the intense, and norco do a long travel one also, the shinobi.

my ventana was built up to a very tough dh/fr type spec, but it did lack a bit more travel.

sss - that looks ugly - sorry. I think it is a shame the front end looks like it has bits missing to keep the bar height low.

sofaking I've had a go on the shorter travel version of the WFO i.e with 130 fork on it, but not the full on monster truck version. The only thing being because it so bloomin quick over rocky stuff if do drop it you'll make a right mess of yourself due to the higher speeds. It even made me feel like I had some rad skillz which is saying somefink 😯

Your line of banter is far closer to 'emergency' than a grown man should be when someone comments on his bike. Are you drunk or internet-brave tonight?

Several Speed Sharon? Is that you? I feel cheated, swindled and hoodwinked. I will never allow a fat bald woman to blindfold me outside a chip shop and feed me a savaloy again.

That wasn't a savoloy that was a battered sausage.

Really like that diamondback ht on page 1 (gasp!), but a 66 degree head angle on a 29er? Guess its only of going down hill then!

Let the insults continue!
