Is it just a straight swap? Running 125mm Talas as standard. Or should I condsider the BETD link to pair up with the rear. Need it to climb as well as it does now. Any help advice/experience much appreciated.

Out of interest what does the betd linkage do to the angles in each setting and how much extra pressure do you have to run? I had a linkage for my old s-works fsr and couldn't use the 130mm do to the vastly increased pressure needed.

As for 140mm forks I'm considering a pair of Pikes though there are warnings about running forks over 125mm on the frame. I suspect they'd need winding down to keep climbing reasonable though.

I ran 150s on mine back in the day with no rear travel increase. It was cool.

Do you mean this enduro (2003/4)

If so, I've happily run mine with my 130mm Revs and I'd be amazed if 10mm more travel would make enough difference to be a problem.

FWIW, I replaced the standard shock on mine with a 200x50 one (eg approx 10mm longer) which raises the BB so that you no longer clout the cranks/your feet all the time.

I've got 36's on mine and i run 110 uphill 130 xc and 150 dh and i can't fault it and i run a betd link and its stiffened the back end up massively. it also makes it a little longer and higher 🙂

been running 150mm bombers on mine since 05 and it's great, flip the link to the steep side to tighten it up a bit and go with something with eta or dial down for the real steep climbs. Then climb get stood up over the front end enjoy every moment of the descending ride :):):)

I run Pikes on mine.

No real issues to report, although the tall headtube makes getting the front end down advantageous. I rarely run the full 140mm, I generally keep them to within the recommended travel, if only because that model Enduro squats under power and the front tends to rake out even further.

Classic bike, it's do a bit of everything and is a willing climbing tool to boot.
