Long story short - my frame has died and it has 130mm forks on it. If i measure the exposed stanchions its more like 135mm. Looking at a Zesty 314 or an Orange 5 frame which obviously works best with 140mm forks.
Just asking for advice - not looking for a flaming or a grilling on the merits of the frames etc - but would 5mm difference really knock the geometry off significantly? If i ran a higher volume tyre surely that would help to compensate? Thoughts on a postcard....
I run 150mm forks on a 160mm frame and I'm still alive 🙂
Lowered BB and HA, so potential for more pedal strikes and less stability at speed...but you won't die.
