Whats the difference between 12mm Hope Pro2 Evo end caps - HUB241 and HUB242?

One is listed as 12mm, the other is X12, but whats the width of each one?

I have some on the wheel I just built for a new frame, but theyre about 2or3mm short, and the rotor rubs on the frame

with a 2mm spacer the cassette rubs on the frame

My non drive side (black one) is 16mm

Have I rebuilt the hub wrong?

HUB242 X12 are for 12 x 142 dropouts, also work on 148 boost dropouts/hubs

HUB241 are for 12 x 135 rear drop outs. An older very short lived "standard", without the 3.5mm shoulder inside both dropouts to locate the wheel in

thanks, guess i need hub242 then

so hub241 should leave a 7mm space on the frame

if anyone has hub242/x12 they can measure, that would be cool, i could get some made up at work

I think mine are 142x12, it's an Orange Alpine Five from about 2014. Which measurements do you need?
