ive just got a set of fox 125rls would i be ok running them on my xc comp with 100mm rear travel
bit of a daft question i know but it handles so well dont want to mess it up
also what would happen if i put a longer stroke shock on the rear ?

Shaun

I have a lapierre x control which has 120ml front and 100ml rear. As long as you set it up right i find it no different to a dual 120ml across front and back. My mates have had a ride on mine and love it. Responsive, gives away little pedal bob whilst soaking all i can throw at it

admittedly the frame is built for that particular set up

+1 richieokeefe.
People ride hard tails with 140+ up front. No need for balance just for the sake of numbers.

My main bike is 160 front, 120 rear. No reason at all suspension should be the same at both ends

Whether it'll work on that particular frame is another question though.

Rear shock - longer stroke or longer eye to eye (or even both)?
Stroke would give more rear wheel travel, but at the risk of frame to frame interface (and subsequent dents).
Longer eye to eye would steepen the angles and raise the BB - not good things to happen generally.
