I ride a Kona Big Honzo.

Rear axle has a 12 x 1.75 thru axle. The nut is held in place with a 2mm grub screw and is anything but secure. Everything is OK once set up, but the nut is reluctant to stay in place with the wheel out.

My OCD tells me that sometime soon the nut will fall off and disappear; it may only be in the garage but that's as bad as going into undergrowth. I'm looking to getting a couple of spare nuts "just in case" but they seem rarer than hen's teeth.

Anybody know of a good supplier of nuts only that don't cost a small fortune and have to be imported from USA?

The Kona importer was very helpful to me, the mech hangers they supplied for my Wo had two different threaded nuts, the grub screw and were also very reasonably priced! I’ll try and dig the details out.

M12 nut 1.75 is the standard thread pitch so you could get alloy, stainless or titanium from loads of places, nyloc type might help keep it on if there's plenty thread to engage it.

Thanks guys.

I'll try Mount Green.

I didn't know 12 x 1.75 was standard pitch. I may even have some lurking in that box of stuff that might come in handy one day.
