I have a turbo dilemma and hoping someone can help before I try it and damage anything.
We have an Elite Direto direct drive turbo trainer with Shimano freehub, currently fitted with a Shimano 12 speed 11-30 cassette.
I have a 12 speed Ultegra Di2 road bike with bolt through that I use on it. No problem.
Wife has two options, both of which currently involve swapping cassettes each time we change turbo setup, which is a pain.
I also have a 9 speed gravel/errand bike I could use but it doesn't solve anything as we have Shimano 9, 10 and 12 speed and Sram 12 speed going on!
Tiagra 10 speed so I can leave the freehub on but have to change bolt through to QR as well as swap cassette.
AXS 12 speed with 10-35 cassette and bolt through, which would need us to purchase a freehub and cassette for the turbo, but that would make swapping a bit easier than removing a cassette.
Zwift cog is a neat idea but not an option just now as we use Rouvy!
Ideally I could just drop the 12 speed AXS bike onto the 12 speed Ultegra cassette but I'm not sure it's that simple. Hopefully I'm wrong!

The internet seems to suggest you can do this, but nobody seems to have totally confirmed that sprocket spacing is identical, lots of "it works, but isn't perfect" type replies.
I'd just pop it on and turn the cranks by hand to (slowly) confirm it shifts adequately and doesn't shunt the chain off the top of the cassette.
Been thinking about a turbo but have this problem too. My bike Shimano 11 speed, my wife's is 10 speed. Don't want to swap cassettes all the time. Considering the Zwift Hub One which seems like the answer, but given the warming relationship between Zwift and Wahoo (resulting in Kickr Core for £450, and Zwift selling Kickrs now), I'm a wee bit concerned about buying turbo that may already be on the way out.
