I am putting some 118th fox fork on a tapered head orange frame , I have a hope headset an bought a reducer from hope , am i right in thinking this acts like the crown race ? But my problem is i have 2-3 mm between my fork crown an the bottom of the reducer cap, used a crown race setter an cant get it flush with the fork crown . Any 1 had a similar problem or is there meant to be a little gap thank you

Got one and it is a tight fit but does go on. Has it gone slightly squiff? Isnt a old crown race hiding on the fork?

No defo not old crown race on the fork , bit of elbow grease an i will bang it all the way down thanks m8
