My neighbours lad has a very nice bike, which has (had...) 1 x 11 Shimano drivetrain, but has suffered, like many do, with significant use and some neglect.

So...after having a look at it, the list of knackered items, starting from the front and working back:

Shifter (wobbly as heck and vague)
BB
Chainring (hooked and worn)
Chain (junk...)
Cassette (teeth are very worn)
Mech (shows scars and very worn)

So, my neighbour has asked me to assist with replacing the lot. However, I did not quite realise that parts were so low in stock and also how expensive stuff is compared to when I last bought a complete 11 speed drivetrain or even parts of one.

So...any of the STW massive seen decent deals on basically a complete 11 speed groupset (without the brakes) or should we move back to 10 speed or up to 12 speed...assuming parts are actually available of course.

Thanks.

You can get a shimano groupset on aliexpress. They do bundles with chainring and off brand cassette from about £100 for 10sp and more for 11/12. I'd get a shimano BB.

I'd probably get the Microshift Advent X 10sp stuff - which has an 11-48t cassette.

Or the 10 or 11 speed new Deore stuff, if it actually exists yet.
