If I wanted to convert my old Spesh Stumpy HT to 11 speed.

Do I need to get a new wheel for the eleven speed casette or will the old hub be OK that has the 9 speed on it ?

11 speed SRAM needs a different freehub body.

11 speed Shimano MTB fits on a normal 9 speed body, 11 speed road needs an 11 speed body.

+ if you want to go down the SRAM route - your hub may well have an XD freehub available to save a whole new wheel. Normally £50-70 though.

Then yes... SRAM needs XD body, Shimano MTB uses what you've got. Shimano road needs a 1mm wider freehub body.

Hope sell the freehub bodies on their own, so no you won't need a new wheel, just the freehub body.

Yes sorry, I wasn't meaning to imply new wheel needed, just freehub body. Maybe.
