Do I need to use a specific 11 speed freehub to put an 11 speed cassette onto my, previously running 9 speed cassette, Pro 2 Evo?
Up to now, my bikes have been 9 or 10 speed...

Depends on the cassette, Shimano 11 speed fits standard freehub bodies, some sram do and some need the specific XD freehub body. I think all the sunrace 11 speed ones are standard fit but not sure. So essentially it depends on which 11 speed cassette you want to fit.
Shimano XT 11 speed cassette to be fitted.
Shimano mtb 11 speed fit fine.
Sram hg 11 speed (low end only) fit fine.
Sram xd 11 don't fit a non xd freehub.
Road 11 needs a "special" hg freehub.
