Hi all,would an 11 speed cassette fit a 9 speed hub?

I was just about to ask the same question and a few more so if people are chiming in about 1x11, are xt and sram gx comparable level? Sorry for the hijack. Can i also use existing xtr crank that I have been using 1x9?

Slight hijack - so are we saying that the new 11 speed XT cassette will fit on a Shimano 10 speed hub? Makes wheel selection easier....

Yip, Shimano 11 speed XT and XTR will work on a standard 8, 9 and 10 speed free hub, SRAM on the other hand won't.
On a side not, I have just changed to Shimano 11 speed, it is such a joy to use, works flawlessly, Shimano may take their time in releasing stuff buy when they do it just works!
