I’ve neglected my current 11 spd Shimano 105 chain over the winter.  What should I replace it with?

A few years back it would have always been KMC. Have Shimano got better?

oh and also want a missing link type thing so thinking KMC as they come with them don’t they ?

Ta

Always used Shimano or Sram and never had a problem.

IIRC, KMC make the Shimano chains.

Brother just bought a brand new 2017 model anthem, it came with a kmc chain.

Always kmc for me. Can't stand them shimano master pin things. Much easier with a quick link.

In fairness I've never has a shimano chain break, but I like with kmc you can remove it for cleaning, although this isn't the case with 11sp since the link is single use, but I doubt it would be an issue.

Oh oh that was my thinking of getting a KMC with missing link so I could just take it off to clean. Is that not possible?

KMC make an 11sp re-usable link, but I think that chains come with the one-use version

Pg 28 here for catalogue numbers, etc (pg15 in the viewer thingy)
