Short term I.e before the current (good) 9spd chain/front ring where out. (My rear 9spd mech lunched itself again).
Can it work? When the chain/cassette/front ring (and shifter of course) need replacing I'll then go full 10spd

I know people happily using Shimano 10spd rear mechs with Sram 9spd shifters, it needs a 6mmish spacer at the mech cable clamp to make it work.
