Toying with my gearing for the 3 Peaks.
Looking at running a 34 low sprocket on the cassette.
I know the recommended is 32 tooth.
Just wondering if any one is running this size or should I stick with the standard 32 tooth.
Gonna run a 46/34 chainset if that's a help.
Thanks,
Max

It'll just about work on a 32, you may need a longer b-screw.

Best best is an older 9 speed MTB mech

As above, I'd stick with a 9 speed MTB medium cage mech.

10 speed 105 is only officially rated to 27 or 28 teeth. I know folk get away with using larger but it's not ideal and I think you might be really pushing it at 34. No use having the gear if it's not going to work too well, particularly in a race.
