I've just read that all makes of 11 speed cassette are cross compatible. So a Campagnolo 11 speed wheel with Campagnolo cassette will work with SRAM and Shimano drive trains.
Correct.
Know several people who are doing this.
Blimey. that's great.
I've got two sets of top end Campagnolo 11 speed wheels, and I'm being offered a tempting Shimano equipped Giant that has average wheels.
Yeh works just fine. Perhaps not perfect, but good enough.
indeed finally. My 11 speed Dura Ace wheels completed Paris Roubaix on a campag equipped bike.

and I have a 105 11spd cassette on my Sram equipped CX bike purely because it was cheaper than the Sram equivalent. Works perfectly.
This must be the "one that got away" for the bike industry. I can only imagine how many people in the design and development teams were fired across those 3 companies when their bosses realised this gross incompetence.
There was talk about it being driven by either UCI tech or neutral service.
Dunno if it's true. But wouldn't surprise me.
I'd be surprised if there wasn't a Death Or Serious Injury clause in the installation instructions though. Can't see the big three being so obliging...
