You don't need to be an 'investor' to invest in Singletrack: 6 days left: 95% of target - Find out more
A fellow cog spinner has recently had his pride and joy secretly borrowed from his garage. He is now in the market for a new roadie and has been looking at a Rose Pro SL2000. Any ideas what these are like or advice on what he should go for with a £1000 budget and the option of a cheapie carbon preferred.
Let me be the first to overshoot the brief and suggest cannondale super six 105 from Paul's Cycles if available in his size. Got to be best value out there at £1.1k
Thanks for the response rocket, unfortunately he is in the market for a 56/57 frame and non available, otherwise that could've been a sensible option
+1 for Pauls cycles - anything from Planetx will have a 1month+ build time.
Plus.....hope your not leaving the bike in the garage this time..
I work at PX, SRAM Rival and 105 build times on a Pro-carbon have been as low as 5 days over the past week. We are waiting on a delivery of Shimano Ultegra and until that arrives, which could be any day, 105 and rival jumps to the front of the queue until then.
That said the Ultegra is due in Thurs/fri.
These threads come up quite regularly so worth doing a search, anyway might be of interest:
