So looking for a new flat bar .
I've not used Ti or Carbon for a bar before so new territory for me.
Thinking Thomson carbon or Kingdom bikes Ti.
Looking for flat but a reasonable amount of sweep.
Thoughts?
*ish ..... certainly not a lot more .....
Only ones I've found (at 740mm) with more than 8 or 9 degree of sweep are Syntace Vector Carbons (740mm 12degree).And they are £150ish.My Enve sweeps are ok but I don't see why the can't make them so they feel the same as the risers.
I've got some 3T Extendo bars, which are 740 wide with 12 degrees of back sweep. They're supposedly flat, but they're eccentric. I have found they've got too much sweep for me, so have effectively been using them as risers. Might be worth a look though if sweep is what you're after. Currently £70 at Wiggle I think.
I'm running exotic carbon bars 750mm and very light ... £65ish I think on the bay(bike fridge) ragged them a while no issue 8)
Possibly Kinesis Strut? IIRC the flat one has quite a lot of backsweep, and they're £80 at Winstanleys.
Crank Bros might do one as well, I didn't pay much attention to the flats
I've got a set of exotic 750mm on a bike I just bought - look mint but I'll be strapping things to the bar on this bike so will go standard aluminium. £37.50 posted?
Cheers,
Ian

Were they okay to deal with?
What sweep did you o for?
Just get Aluminium - plenty light enough - compliance/ dampening not needed for handlebars... Forks and tyres will sort that ...
