Afternoon all,
I fancy a long day in the saddle this weekend. Does anyone have a route they’d recommend that I could follow? Link to route map / GPX would be great if possible.
Would also prefer a chunk of it to be in the White Peak so south of Snake Pass is preferable.
Any old sportive routes worth looking at?
Cheers
Tour of the Peak?

Few climbs on that like. Dark Peak mainly, though, and pretty well known stuff.
Road cycling!
In the Peak District!
Weirdo 🤷🏻♂️😆
I did a great route out of Leek the other day, 100km up to Monsal Head then a loop round Eyam / Foolow then back to Monsal, Bakewell, Monyash, Longnor and back to Leek.
Made it up to 100 miles by riding from mine at the northern edge of the Peaks to meet my friends in Leek.
Tell us where you're starting from an I might be able to come up with something more constructive.
Have a look at https://darkwhitecycling.co.uk/ Quite a lot of information on the "Peak Epic", depending on how hilly you want it.
The route of the Peak Epic (which isn’t being run this year) or the Eroica are good rides both routes are available on line with a bit of effort.
I plotted this the other day for when i'm next down at my parents:

All South of Buxton, so the best bit of the Peaks.
Cheers guys, i've opted for this one in the end - https://ridewithgps.com/routes/29569084
It is (was?) the 2019 planned Peak Epic.
I've just moved to Chapel-en-le-Frith so will be starting from there. The route basically passes the end of my road anyway so I just replicated it to start / finish from Chapel.
I used to live in Hazel Grove so know the area well down to Buxton area and across to Hope Valley. South of Buxton and across to Bakewell is a bit of an unknown maze to me!
