Hi all,
I recently bought some 100% gloves and am really impressed, apart from their bonkers sizing. The gloves were wayyy too small despite being completely within their sizing chart.

Now I want some trousers and don't want to have the same experience, anyone have any experience with 100% trousers and their sizing?

Thanks!

Can’t help with trousers but agree that 100% glove sizing is bonkers.
I normally wear size L gloves but when I bought some Briskers I had to get XL, and they are only just big enough.
Bought some XL Hydros last week and they are tiny. I can just about get them on but then can’t bend my fingers. I reckon in any ‘normal’ sizing they’d barely be a M.

Yeah exactly what been I experienced. Usually a large, but had to return them and ended on an XL, it's mental. I think I'll go for a Medium on trousers... And cross my fingers!

Went to check my briskers, I’d say I’m normally a M or L for gloves and I have a pair of M that fit fine.

I can't buy Briskers , XXL is still too small and they don't go any bigger.

I have some XL brisker gloves. I'm normally a large and they're tight.

100%? More like 80%

I also bought a set of large hydromatic briskers based in having a set of the normal briskers in large that fit. Very tight to get on and hard to curl index finger. Fingers don't seem to be at the end of the glove though which is odd.

According to the size chart large is the right size.

I bought a pair of Briskers last year when I’d forgot my gloves from the shop at Pedalabikeaway in the FOD. The large fitted OK, snug, but OK. The Hydromatics, I couldn’t get them on in an XL.

I think they beat Endura for the random sizing award.

My son had some troos when he was about 16 and the youth Large fitted him well. Does that help? 😆
Ooh, I found a photo. Cool troos

How tall was your son if you don't mind me asking? Just for a reference point!

TLD are pretty much the only mainstream manufacturer list actual meaningful measurements of trousers
Even that is hard to find... (US only site)

https://troyleedesigns.com/pages/fit-guide

Gloves ... not found any that are consistent with sizing and also quality.
I'm sure there was a thread on here not long ago.
Everytime I get a good set and think "I'll buy those again" the new ones are either differently sized and/or shit quality.

I think a large part of that is down to the manufacture at a price people will pay and is a bit specific to gloves.

Talking of “shit quality”, I bought that same lad, above, a Troy Lee Designs jersey for about £50. He wore it for one ride, wearing a camelbak, and the material was all bobbled and scuffed where the pack straps had been. “oh yeah but no one wears camelbaks anymore!” Well, some do and no other jersey in my riding history has been so cheap and nasty.

Anyway, yeah, 2 pairs Briskers, in my usual XL and both fit perfectly.

@verderers - did you get any trousers?

I like the look of the Airmatic Pants, so welcome any feedback you have with regards to sizing etc.

@v7fmp

For reference, I'm 184cm tall, with an 81cm waist, and 83cm inseam.

I bought a medium, and the waist was farrrr too wide. The inseam is good. So unless you're on the larger size, you might need to do some sewing like I've had to do.

TLD seem to experiment with different fabrics ... I've got an old semi-mesh type one I've had years.
Absolute worse I found are Fox where they use heat transfer... 1-2 washes and it just peels off.

@verderers - cool, thanks for the feedback. Which trousers did you get? The Airmatics? And who did you buy them from?

I am a touch bigger waist size, so a medium might fit me.....
