If and its a big if I need to replace my 9 speed mech and cassette on my Hope Pro 2 hub do I need to change the body or is a 10 speed cassette the same size?

The cassette spacing 'crib sheet' here is really useful for finding out what fits. You can see from this that 10spd Shimano cassettes are almost the same width as 9spd.

Forget 10 speed, go straight to 11 speed. Shimano 11 speed will fit your Pro 2 with no modifications. SRAM 11 speed needs a different free hub which is available for Pro 2 EVO.

Unless you are going 1x the Shimano 11sp doesn't make that much sense (even 1x it's still not the best range you can get)

To the original point 9 & 10sp mountain bike stuff is the same.
