After a pair for a tt bike I’m putting on the turbo. Shimano ones only seem to come in Duraaace and not particularly cheap. Even microshift cost a small fortune
Are there any cheap options out there I’ve not thought of? Ta
Sunrace do some. But not sure if 10speed.
SJS cycles do a good range
I just bought some microshift ones which are excellent, but yes a bit pricey
Sjs did indeed have a good selection, but 90 quid seems steep for a pair, which was about the cheapest on offer.
SRAM second hand may be the way to go
Dia compe for sixty quid at spa cycles. Will bodged thumb shifters not work? Or just old school down tube shifters?
Jump on them ^. I've got the 9 speed version that's been around a few bikes (only the RH/rear, 1x) and it's lovely. Light, smooth, positive action. Nowt to go wrong, will last for ages. Currently on a 34 year old audax/randonneur bike, perfectly matched!
SRAM second hand may be the way to go
I've got SRAM TT500 10 speed that's on the CX-type bike. It replaced the Dura Ace as I wanted a clutch mech, and SRAM was the easiest way of getting there without jigging about with pull ratios
It's a much stiffer, heavier, clunkier action. Some of that's down to the clutch mech, but the difference is still obvious before attaching cable to mech. It's fine, you get used to it, it's stayed on there for 6/7 years apart from the odd period singlesped. But it's always a pleasure going back to the Dura-Ace
Old 8 speed with the indexing turned off.
Infinite trimming too.
Literally the first pair on ebay 😂😂👍
Might had an old set of DA in the spares bin. I forget if they are 9 or 10 speed. I went to Di2 10 speed.
Might have the perfect set up for you
