Do you have to change the crankset if you switch your cassette, chain and shifters too 10 speed

No, assuming your crankset has 9 speed rings, they will be compatible.

Cheers need new shifters, cassette. Derailleur and chain and 10 speed is cheaper than 9 speed

The question of whether 9 speed chainrings are compatible is a bit iffy, they seem to work fine in practice, but in theory the front shifting shouldn't be as good.

They work absolutely fine. Most third party chainrings are marketed as 9/10 speed amyway, it's just shimano being shimano saying you should use 10 speed rings.

Yep, it'll be fine....currently running a middleburn duo on my 10 speed setup
