Yes, another gearing related thread! This could go the way of power meters at this rate.

XD body needed, but should cost less than XTR. Quite a lot of alu sprockets though, I'd worry about longevity.
The luddites won't go for it. Needs an XD driver.
In fact, nor will I if that's the case- if I'm buying an XD driver and a cassette that likely costs over £100 then I may as well just buy an XT 11 speed cassette and shifter and save money.
But you still don't get the range, it's an extra option, but I do agree.
Agree with the lonevity.
Although I don't understand the 9 tooth sprocket, I know it's to give the range of a double, but the jumps between the individual sprockets just gets worse. 9 tooth drivers on BMXs were / are just rubbish. There's not enough chain wrap, made worse by the rear mech.
I think this is just the next piece of the "More range than you arms race."
Agree on the 9t, the 10t feels noticeably more lumpy on XX1, imagine that'll be horrible.
Nice fitting mechanism though - gets around the need for a one piece cassette.
IIRC that's the reason SRAM didn't do a 9T, the lack of chain wrap causes issues.
