Nothing particularly special about them is there? Like for instance, a 1 X narrow-wide thingy will fit a set of Turbine cranks which are currently 2x10?
And those 2x10s will fit an old M770 3X crank?

Just need to do a bit of swapping around so DezBJr can use my old 575.

Depends on the bolt circle diameter and spacing - as usual, there are a lot more 'standards' than there used to be!

I'm sure they're both pretty standard 104BCD (Shimano definitely is).

Apart from the bcd's/fitment methods as mentioned, if wanting to use 2x then having rings with the ramps and pins on really helps shifting however it can be done with normal rings

OK, cheers. Sounds like my plans will work.

It'll work as long as BCD is correct, done a few recently, 2 Shimano (old 3 cog XT and SLX) and an SRAM 2x10 - also for juniors bikes. 1x works brilliantly for them.

just checking, you're not putting a narrow wide ring on a geared 2x or 3x system (with a F dérailleur) are you? jammage could ensue.....I'm sure you're not but just thought I'd ask.

But yeah as long as BCD is compatible should be fine, I run SS and 1x on old triple cranks

If putting a n/w chainring on a 2x or 3x bike, you will probably need to manually move the chain on/off the n/w ring.

No, the Turbines are going 1x , with a narrow-wide.
All sounds like it'll work and save a bit of dosh.
