A mate of mine is after one of these for a build he's working on but they seem a bit scarce. Any one know here i could source one from?
Do Surly make one? If you get stuck, I can build such a thing.
I got a carbon/alloy crown-steerer from Ribble for about £80 but that was a couple of years ago.
Think it's the same as this one form Parker
Argos cycles sell steel bladed ones as well, the don't put a price on the website so it won't be cheap.
ebay has them

True, but unless you're happy to pay for carbon it's difficult to find a decent moly or aluminium pair. I nearly bought a set then realised at the last minute they were made of gas pipe.
Columbus do a full carbon one called the Minimal which can be had for about £150
Ricky Comp comes 1" but can be hard to find:

I've the 1 1/8, happy enough with it.
Pretty sure carbon cycles have 1" forks too.
