It's for one of Hora's many old bikes that's served me well as a fast commuter.

The headset has gone. What are people's thoughts on these?

Any other suggestions? Needs to be cheap, reliable and silver....!

If you can stomach a black one, I have a Stronglight one here you could have for free- no use to me, I bought the wrong one and it's not really worth selling...

Thanks Northwind, I'd take it for free, but it looks as though you've got a buyer there for cash money so go with that!

Nowt wrong with tange. For what it's worth too, I've never had a problem with cage bearings. Grease 'em up and they'll go for years.

I've just stuck a Tange Seiki NJS on this:

Just make sure its the right kind of 1" headset, there are 2 different types,1 for Road bikes and a slight variant for BMX's however there not interchangeable.

I'm using a Canecreek S2 its black(dont think you can get silver ones)but its spot on.

Just had a play with it and it just needs some new bearings. Especially as a couple made a trip under the floorboards!

Gracias for the offer NW.

Guys, was not butting in hence offer to buy if op did not want it for free.

It's not a prob either way as actually found one in the garage....think I must have bought it for my old Clockwork back in the early 90's. Antiques road show almost.

Take care.
