Sri Lanka, an island roughly 25% the size of the UK, is blessed with a network of quiet sealed, gravel and mountain roads, all easily accessible from the capital city and international gateway, Colombo. Couple this with a diversity in climate and terrain unrivalled by anywhere else on earth and you do indeed have a cycling heaven.

SriLankan Airlines are so keen to showcase their beautiful country to the global cycling community that they are hosting a 5 day multi terrain biking adventure from 3rd March.

The event, simply named ‘Ride Sri Lanka’, is the creation of SriLankan Airlines and MTB-Worldwide, an events company who organise the world-famous Yak Attack high altitude MTB race in Nepal and who used to run a multi-day event in Sri Lanka. They’ve taken their combined experience and knowledge to create an event that will take participants on a journey through the incredibly diverse landscape of Sri Lanka.

So much is their passion to bring the rest of the world to Sri Lanka that they are heavily subsidising the entry cost and even offering discounts on flights. For only £890 you will get 5 days of fully supported riding, with distances to suit a range of abilities, 10 nights in 4 and 5* hotels, all meals, meet and greet at the airport and all transfers. There’s even an option to bring non-riding friends and family. Plus, if booked before 31st January, you can grab a direct flight to Colombo from Heathrow for only £600.

Sri Lanka is set to become a cycling bucket list destination, so why not be one of the first to ride there and grab yourself a bargain and holiday of a lifetime?
