From 29th November to 6th December, donations made to World Bicycle Relief through this Big Give link will receive match funding.

World Bicycle relief will be raising money for their project, Mobilised Communities, this Giving Tuesday. All donations made to this project will be MATCHED for 7 days from 12 pm on 29th November until 12 pm on 6th December. Now is your chance to make your donation go further! One donation, twice the impact.

World Bicycle Relief

Imagine a community with thousands of people mobilised to pedal their way our of poverty and into a brighter future. Our Mobilised communities programme addresses the systemic challenges of distance and rural transportation by delivering a bicycle specially designed for rough roads and heavy loads.

World Bicycle Relief

The Buffalo Bikes distributed by World Bicycle Relief are specially designed to meet the demands of where they’re used. One size fits many heights of riders, and the step through design and chain guard allows people in a variety of clothing styles to pedal safely. They’re robust, and designed to be easily maintained by the network of mechanics also supported by World Bicycle Relief. Just £120 buys a whole bike – so with this match funding, a donation of just £60 will enable World Bicycle Relief to get another person up and rolling.

I came to Singletrack having decided there must be more to life than meetings. I like all bikes, but especially unusual ones. More than bikes, I like what bikes do. I think that they link people and places; that cycling creates a connection between us and our environment; bikes create communities; deliver freedom; bring joy; and improve fitness. They're environmentally friendly and create friendly environments. I try to write about all these things in the hope that others might discover the joy of bikes too.
