Loana Lecomte announces she will not race in Val di Sole at the XCO MTB World Championships due to a stomach bug.
Loana has dominated this season, winning four races, and one short track event. She missed out on the team relay today. Despite being U23, she has raced in the elite category this season. The World Championships would have seen her race in U23 women. Rider for Massi Bikes and 2021 French champion, she came away with 6th at this year’s Olympic Games in Tokyo.
She has reported that she will be back and ready to race in Lenzerheide, but unfortunately unable to defend her U23 title this year.
#backstronger Sick for 4 days (gastro), without energy and unable to ride… unfortunately I will not be able to defend my U23 title this year. A good little rest, time to take care of myself and I will be ready for the Lenzerheide World Cup with the @massibikes family.
