There are so many great New Bike Day threads on the Forum – often the result of other lengthy ‘What Bike?’ threads – that we thought we’d create the opportunity to bring some of them to the front page for a bit of extra love and attention. We’ll be picking the prettiest, the most curious, and the ones with a good story for you to appraise, praise, and maybe look wistfully at. This first bike comes to you as the first reader to navigate our submission form, it’s Guinea Pig Andy’s Geometron G1.
Why this bike?
I spent a lot of time on choosing a new bike and ultimately came to the decision to get a G1 because of how amazing Geometron have been. From the demo day to all the questions I shot their way, to the amazing bespoke setup that they offer. The fact that they’re local to me is a huge plus too. The suspension is sublime, the components perfect and somewhat different (especially the suspension) and it’s still ahead of the curve geometry wise, so it’s relatively futureproof! This is a bike that I’m planning on riding for a very long time indeed.
