Calibre Triple B Pro rocks performance-ready package at a sub £2k price

Calibre Triple B Pro rocks performance-ready package at a sub £2k price

Calibre’s popular Bossnut becomes the Triple B Pro in this limited edition build costing £1900.

Calibre bikes are regarded as some of the best performing budget bikes on the market and the Bossnut is often THE budget full-suspension bike to have thanks to its sorted geometry and efficient suspension platform. Though it’s not a big-ticket frameset the reach and angles put you in a great position and the 130/140mm of travel is great for ironing out trail chatter and taking the sting out for jumps.

Calibre Triple B Pro

The Triple B Pro takes the Bossnut’s chassis and builds it up with a mix of well thought out components that will squeeze even more speed, air and fun out of the frame while keeping the cost firmly below £2000.

In typical Calibre fashion, the component package is a very nicely thought out list of parts with an eye for building confidence and adding performance rather than adding unnecessary bling. A great example of this is the tyre choice, there aren’t many sub £2k bikes on the market that ship with the latest Schwalbe Hans Dampf and Magic Mary, nor are there many budget full bouncers with a Monarch Debonair RC3 shock fitted as stock.

The rest of the package follows this no-nonsense ethos with a 12-speed SRAM drivetrain using a mix of NX and GX parts, a pair of RockShox Revelation RC3 forks, a KS Rage dropper post and WTB i29 wheels.

Go Outdoors will be offering the Limited Edition Triple B Pro in-store from today (12th November) and discount cardholder can pick one up for just £1900. This price point has the new Triple B Pro listed at £400 less than the most affordable Canyon Spectral and around the same price as a YT Jeffsy (if they’re ever in stock).

If you want to know more about how the Calibre Triple B Pro’s chassis performs then read our review of the Bossnut here, and head on over to the Go Outdoors website for full specs and availability.

  1. 142 rear end, 125mm dropper and £1900 when you can get a Vitus Escarpe CR for similar money? Seems like a tough sell to me…

When the standard bossnut was on offer for less than a grand it really made sense. This less so.
