Suddenly my math’s teachers assurance that one day it would be important to know the circumference of a circle makes sense!! Still doesn’t work if you put the wrong numbers in though
A mere 18/20… I’d better stick to the day job then. 🙂
12/20 here
Query on the 29r answer, surely it’s 2.3?
weird that I can post here but I’m banned from the forum
Rockhopper. The answer is correct. I promise you. If you want to check take a ruler and measure the radius from hub to rim yourself.
rockhopper70 – you’d be right if the question had been the circumference of a 29er *wheel* (which, with tyre, is about 29″ in diameter, depending on the size of tyre, hence the name, giving a circumference of ~2.3m). In fact the question asked the circumference of the *rim* (622mm diameter by definition, 1.95m circumference). As they always told us before every exam at school, read the question twice before starting to write down the answer!
12/20. Get in!! Happy New Year Singletrack!!
