We’re all stoked and looking forward to this weekend’s mountain bike racing at Rio, where we’re sure the riders will be lighting up the trails with a roaring display of skill, speed, and lycra. However, things seem to have hotted up a little early, and the race course has been threatened by fire.

Updates from the appropriately named Simon Burney suggest the course has acted as a fire break and the damage has been limited.

Although the life of this brush seems extinguished as it now looks more like a post celebration bundle of silly string.
