Superband Strap-On Stuff Management System

Superband Strap-On Stuff Management System

Hard cheese, soft meat.
Hard cheese, soft meat.

For a time it was all about the Camelbak.  Where new riders could be identified by their dainty 2L rucksacks, experienced riders wore battered 15L and 20L monsters with pride.  Like the tide, fashions have changed and the hardest of the core now ride unencumbered, their tools and snacks lashed to stems, sequestered behind shocks, and strapped under saddles.

But how am I to carry my telephone, cured meats, and light jacket? you ask.  BiKASE, of Wisconsin, have heard your cries and responded–as is also the trend–via Kickstarter.  Branded as “a stuff management system for your bike,” the Superband is a padded polycarbonate base that uses either bottle cage bosses or engineered rubber straps to mount to the bicycle- and similar straps to carry objects up to 3in in diameter.  The possibilities, as you can see, are limited only by your imagination:

A place for everything and everything in its place
A place for everything and everything in its place

While BiKASE’s photos are clearly tongue-in-cheek, the idea isn’t a bad one.  The bottle boss mount is certain to be stable and there always seems to be an essential item or two that don’t fit in a saddle bag or jersey pocket.
