None more black and few more oval
Formerly available only direct, Velotech Services is now distributing absoluteBLACK components in the UK. Perhaps best known for their oval narrow/wide chainrings, aB designs their components in Buckinghamshire before having them CNC machined in Poland from German alloys.
And it’s that machining that really steals the show.  With their trademark tool marks and intricate webbing, absoluteBlack’s products can hardly be mistaken for anyone else’s.  Given the increasing acceptance of oval chainrings among mountain bikers, it will be nice to have aB properly represented in the UK.
Erm, in thought CRC were selling these too?
CRC only have 3 “black by absolute black” chainrings of sub level quality to the ones Velotech will distribute.
Sub level quality or just sub level fanciness/intricacy?
Yeah, i think i simpler type of manufacturing process.
The normal AB rings are more intricate like you say, and swankier in general!
