It’s with tremendous sadness that we have to announce that our Deputy Editor, Jenn Hill died yesterday after her long battle with lung cancer, at St Gemma’s Hospice, Leeds. She was 37.
Although expected after her decision to step down as Deputy Editor just over a month ago the news is still shocking to all of us at Singletrack and Grit.cx. All our thoughts are now with her husband Tom and all her family and friends.

Thoughts with all who knew Jenn.
RIP Jen, happy trails in the sky.
Condolences to all her family and friends
So sorry and sad to hear this Jenn was a wonderful person and always straight to the point which was always nice, she will be greatly missed by the whole cycling community. My thoughts go out to her family and friends.
Too soon.

So very sad….very much missed.
Jenn, may you ride in peace forever more. All our heart felt condolences to her family, both at home and at Singletrack.
What awful news – sending big love to Jenn’s family and friends.
As a 38 year old myself, it reminds me to make the most of every moment.
It is a comfort that she has left us such an excellent body of work to re- read, and remind ourselves why we all love getting out on our bikes
rip Jenn – and thank you for the words and inspiration. I hope your family and friends can take some small comfort from the impact you had on so many xx
She will be sadly missed by the entire community. A truly beautiful person.
R.I.P Jenn. Sad news.
Best wishes to her family.
Ride in Peace.
Heartbreaking. RIP
Very sad news, cancer has no respect of age. Love to all
Terribly sad. so unfair.
Oh no. Knew it was coming but was hoping not too soon. Just rubbish. Sincere condolences to everyone at STW, Jenn’s family and friends. Above all, RIP Jenn, you will be very much missed around these parts.
Awful news. It is devastating when it happens to anyone, but 38 is too damn young.
I never met Jenn but it is starkly obvious from the posts from Singletrack and the responses in the comments and forum that she was very well loved. That’s something to be proud of.
