2013 was a year of massive change for me. As the year broke, life was, as it had been for many moons, living in Edinburgh, pedalling my battered (but loved) Orange ST4 round my home trails. Several months in however, I’d landed a job at Singletrack, moved down to Yorkshire and was riding bikes I could previously only have dreamed of touching. From the Nidderdale Classic Ride. It’s an image Jenn took and I”d like to point out, not picked because I’m in it! I love the dark, dramatic clouds, contrasted against the vivid green, buttercup speckled meadows. It was a fantastic ride – all around we could see rain showers and gloom, but a chink of bright sunlight guided us round the hills, keeping us bone dry all day.
