Lee Quarry Pumptrack improvements

Trailmaking company Back-On-Track have been working to improve the already quasi-legendary pump tracks at Lee Quarry, Rossendale.

Rob Breakwell explains how they’ve added some new lines to the first pump track and mellowed out the jumps of the second to improve the flow. And then he whips around the track a few times. He’s quite handy on a bike.

The smaller of the two pumptracks will be used as part of the Saturday night entertainment at the Shimano Singletrack Classic Weekender next month. The ‘pumptrack challenge’ is always an entertaining highlight. Crash ‘n’ burn!

  1. Seeing Nick Craig wash out and go down hard on the far corner during the Pumptrack Challenge, trying not to get beaten by his son, was one of the highlights of last year for me. 🙂
