We’ve just been sent news that Hove based Prestige Cycles has become the sole UK importer for Dekerf Cycles. Yup, that’s right, the legendary, handbuilt Canadian steel hardtails are back in the UK. Here’s the lowdown on the Dekerf Team SST hardtail…
“Though the Concorde has been grounded, the SST will keep you flying down the singletrack in a fashion to which you will enjoy becoming accustomed. This frame is the fourth version of our flagship steel XC hard tails.
From the ‘Team’ of the early 90’s, through the ‘Team SL’, to the ‘Team 853’, tried and true steel bikes have been the mainstay here at Dekerf Cycle Innovations. Our Team SST is no exception to that tradition. This Team is fabricated from the latest iteration of Reynolds custom-drawn and butted 853 chrome manganese air-hardening Size-Specific Tubes, hence SST.
Our flagship Team SST frames combine the best features of previous models like: our trademark wishbone, machined head tube and downtube gusset, with several new ones like the ‘zip’ style mounting for disk brakes and a custom machined Dekerf seat post clamp.

So I won’t be buying one, if that’s OK.
Exactly my sort of frame. But that price! You can get a fully bespoke, handbuilt 853 frame for less.

As much as I loved DeKerf bikes ‘back in the day’, you’d get a British built custom Enigma 853 for about half the price…stoopid money, but still lively…

Was very keen to read DeKerf bikes are back, then looked at the price – must be a mistake(!) ? Madness.
Suppose will keep numbers very low.
The build is at odds to the frame price, if your spunking this sort of money on a steel frame then the build should be significantly better, not tatt (as pictured).
Lovely frame, ridiculous price. Shame really as I loved my old one but no way would I pay that.
