Jamie and Mark headed down to Madison’s annual iceBike trade show the other day to take a look at what’s new from the distribution giant. They saw plenty of exciting new things from Thule, Contour, Blackburn, Bell and more – here’s a gallery with lots of captions for you to scroll through and enjoy…
New Blackburn lights fit onto Bell helmet with built in mounts…
..and there’s the mount.
Jamie is modelling the Blackburn Helmet Mirror…
…just the trick for urban cycling – or making sure you’ve dropped your mates.
Lights can be integrated with the helmet at the rear too…
The new Contour GPS has full 1080p HD video at 60fps and weighs just 122g – it won’t throw your aim off on your video game inspired rampage.
An app will be out soon that’ll be able to Bluetooth a live image to your Apple device. Even so, it currently has software in it that allows it to send video toa laptop via Bluetooth.
Park Tools – they’ve got something for every bike based job there is.
Here’s their new multi tool…
…and here’s their folding chain tool. Small enough to pop in a Camelback but sturdy enough for proper repairs.
Here’s their very trick, pro workshop standard wheelbuilding jig that’ll tell you the runout to fractions of a mm…
A special hacksaw blade for cutting carbon fibre steerers without tearing the fibres…
SKS now have a cunning fold-out mini pump…
..but their new SKS USP shock pump is a little work of art. Super precise gauge goes to jus 0.2 bar divisions…
The SKS Diago – it’s won design awards for it’s smooth look and easy to use features…
SKS Slidecage…
The Elite Cuissi steel cage – £22.99
Elite Sior Carbon cage – at 26g the packaging weighs more.
BMW were showcasing a motorbike that’s impossible to wheely.
New Thule Euroclassic G6 LED towbar carrier folds flat so you can still get in the boot…
..like this. Available in four, three or two bike versions, it’s out in April and will cost from £380…

I thought that BMW motorbike looked great for doing wheelies!
In fact I wonder how quickly I could learn to manual/wheelie if I put a device like that just beyond the balance point. hmmmm.
park folding chain tool looks fab!
theyre not new… ive had one of those chain tools for a couple of years…! though it is an excellent piece of kit… 🙂
I imagine you have the CT-6 and that is the revised CT-6.2 version. They arrived in the UK about 3 weeks ago.
