Montane's Stormrider in for next issue's waterproof jacket group test. Sorry about the sideways pic - can't work out what's going wrong! Montane Velocity ladies jacket. Giro ladies glove. Modeled by a lady. Finish Line lubes 'n' stuff. Including ceramic-ness. More gloves from Giro. The red one is Madison's Stellar ladies jacket. Sideways Benji modeling a Madison Evo jacket. More useful stuff for bike builds - post-to-post disc brake mount from Shimano. Calfee Mountain bike. Yes, it is made from bamboo (mostly). The bamboo is heat treated for six months to prevent splitting. It's joined together with hemp fibre and tung oil. Different thickness "tubing" is available for different rider weights/preferences. Different shades of bamboo are available too. This one is one of the darker ones. A lacquer is applied all over for the finish. Sunline are now doing seat posts. How will it cope with the heat from the rear disk?
Looks like the seat stay is cracked above the brake bridge…..is it me!!!

If anyone’s interested in the Calfee bamboo bike, I’ve just had a day’s test ride & there’ll be a review on http://www.chasingtrails.com towards the end of next week. I’m not associated with the importers, so the review is impartial & my honest opinion, but without writing the whole lot here I can say I really liked the bike.
